Meribel skiing
Centrally located in the immense Les 3 Vallées ski region, Méribel has good company with Courchevel in one direction and Val Thorens in the other. Much of the resort has immediate access to the slopes, while Méribel Mottaret is fully ski in, ski out.
The Altiport area is ideal for beginner skiers whilst intermediate skier and snowboarders have a vast area of terrain to explore. The runs into Courchevel and Val Thorens are manageable for most but the lower-level intermediate and the ground that can be covered is impressive.
The best skiers and snowboarders in Méribel usually head to the top of the Méribel ski area – Mont Vallon at 2952m. Here there is terrific off-piste terrain on the steep, high-altitude slopes that descend form the peak. The Couloirs beneath the nearby Saulire in Courchevel are another draw.

Meribel apres ski
Méribel has some of the finest après ski in the region, with pumping bars on the slopes and in the village centre. Few places are as rewarding as La Folie Douce Méribel Courchevel on an afternoon. The music, champagne, cabaret and table dancing are special moments.
Le Rond Point is located on the lower slopes and its tractor beam makes it nigh-on-impossible to avoid. Live music and pumping terraces makes this one of the great après ski joints in the French Alps.
In the village centre, there are many bars to enjoy late into the night.

Meribel ski school
Beginner skiers will enjoy the flat sections of the Méribel ski area located around the Altiport. Intermediate skiers will often head off on thier own, but the best skiers would be well-advised to take a local guide to explore the fantastic off-piste terrain on the 3 Valleys.
